Hi, Philadelphia Soccer 2026!
Thanks for stopping by. I’m Mark Willis. I’m a designer living just outside Philly, in lovely Glenside, Pennsylvania. I’ve been producing posters (and other things) for many years. The subject of my work is quite often soccer. The sport is a huge passion of mine. I’ve been lucky: over the years, I’ve designed for, and worked with, some truly awesome clubs and organizations in and around American soccer. That work includes a few of the pieces below.
In short: I’m a soccer-loving designer, a USMNT and USWNT fanatic, and a Philly local. I’ve attended U.S. World Cup matches on three continents. I even designed the logo for AO Philadelphia! I couldn’t be more excited for the Philly World Cup and I’d be immensely honored to partner with you on an a poster.
Please scroll down to see poster artwork I’m proud to have designed. If you are interested, I maintain a larger portfolio of work here on my website.
Thank you, and best of luck! Can’t wait for 2026!

LD 10Match day poster commissioned by the L.A. Galaxy. The artwork recognized Landon Donovan’s final season. Each Galaxy-shaped star represented a goal Landon had (as of match day) scored for the club. The corner flag pays tribute to LD’s specialty – and, with a change of perspective, doubles as a white-capped mountain waiting to be conquered.

USA vs Ghana / USA vs Portugal / USA vs Germany A series of three posters created to capture the energy of the USA’s 2014 World Cup experience in Brazil. Each group stage match in the USMNT’s campaign is portrayed. I hoped to evoke the energy and tension of match day with shape, color and contrast. I designed each poster and worked with a local printer to produce a limited run.

Sirens This design was commissioned by the Sirens Supporters Group, ferocious female backers of Chicago Fire FC and the Chicago Red Stars. The artwork plays on Malort, the notorious local beverage that Chicagoans love to toast with.

Return to Soldier Field This poster was originally prepared to celebrate the Chicago Fire’s return to Soldier Field at the outset 2020 MLS season. The match was cancelled by the arrival of Covid-19, but the design was well-received by Fire fans and lives on as a tribute to their return to the city.

Radiohead / Gritty Two landmark events nearly coincided in late summer of 2018: Radiohead played Philadelphia in August, and a few weeks later, in very the same building, Gritty was introduced to the world. I’ve always been certain that there was a connection. Could Radiohead’s infamous Modified Bear be the true forebearer to our beloved Philly mascot? The resemblance is a bit uncanny. I designed this concert poster to stoke the speculation.

Do Not Power Down This design was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the World Wide Web. Artwork recreates the face of the world’s first web server. The machine ran in Tim Berners-Lee’s office at CERN in Switzerland. A note was required to ensure it was not casually turned off. The spirit of the early internet has always inspired me.

Match NightThrough the years, I’ve built relationships within the American soccer community. This has often led to collaborations with supporters’ group like the American Outlaws. I worked with AO’s San Francisco supporters to design a new logo for their chapter. The mark features iconic San Francisco landmarks, making it easy to to remix and extend it for applications like match night posters. This one builds on the logo’s SF-at-night vibe, and adds a patriotic map pin showing exactly where the party is. The new AOSF identity allows these compelling themes–the rolling, dynamic landscape of San Francisco–to come to life on a poster canvas.
