Brookline High School

Visual ideas to make a high school athletic program stand out in the crowd.

I was asked to contribute visual ideas to a team re-imagining the athletic logo for Brookline High School (Brookline, Massachusetts). The school’s teams, nicknamed the Warriors, were looking for a new visual idea to express their Spartan warrior identity.

Inspired by a variety of traditions and influences, I created the Spartan roundel mark.

It’s ability to work in a variety of contexts was an important pillar.

The mark was designed to be variable – and recognizable – depending on necessity.

While Brookline High School ultimately went with a more traditional look, I’m proud to have helped their decision-making process.
